Air Transport Industry – Strategic Planning
In January 2015, IC Aviation were appointed as the lead consultants for a major review of 7 regions in the North and East of Finland, involving 13 airports in total. The Project is one the most ambitious strategic air transport reviews that has ever taken place in the Nordic market. The Project will last for 3 years and will deliver a comprehensive strategic plan for the future of the air transport market in the North and East regions of Finland.
Airport Privatisations & Deregulation
IC Aviation has extensive experience working with regional airports in Sweden, during the Swedavia deregulation process. Throughout 2014, IC Aviation has also been assisting airports and regions in Finland and Norway as they seek to investigate ways in which to prepare for possible deregulation or privatisation from the Finavia and Avinor groups.
IC Aviation has a strong record of success when it comes to route development. In May 2014, IC Aviation was centrally involved in the negotiations for a BMI Regional (with a Lufthansa code share) route from Karlstad to Frankfurt. This was Lufthansa’s first ever route from a regional airport in the Nordic market. More recently, in September 2014, BMI Regional also launched a route from Kalmar to Berlin, with IC Aviation once again being centrally involved in that process.
